Sample Aural Tests Junior Grades Handbook - Royal Irish Academy of Music
The Royal Irish Academy of Music has created these sample tests books as an invaluable learning tool for every music student. The Junior grades have been designed to work along side the elementary, preliminary & primary grades right up to grade 5.
Along with the sample tests from the previous publication, which are still relevant and a valuable teaching aid, a large volume of new exercise have been added to each grade, giving teachers and students fresh material from which to work.
Due to popular demand, RIAM have introduced a CD with each book, providing a recording of the Aural Observation pieces for each level. For Preliminary grade, each piece is performed twice to allow for contrast in tempo and dynamics.
Build A Higher Level of Musicianship
Aural awareness plays a significant role in the musical development of every student. From aural observation to internal recognition, memory work to clapping-at-sight, each area is integral to the development of the ear and ultimately helps to build a higher level of musicianship.
