Fully Solid Acoustic Guitar Sigma SDR-28
With the Sigma SDR-28, the manufacturer Sigma expands its range with a fully solid acoustic guitar in the traditional dreadnought design, which offers outstanding and comfortable playing in addition to a voluminous and assertive sound.
With a solid sitka spruce top and solid Indian rosewood body, the SIGMA SDR-28 acoustic guitar produces a versatile sonic-footprint with a crisp, articulate tonal output blended with a warm, resonant sound and added emphasis to bass and treble notes. This classic-sounding acoustic also features a bone nut that adds further amounts of resonance and sustain to the guitar's overall tone.
Solid Sitka Spruce & Solid Indian Rosewood Construction
The SIGMA SDR-28 guitar features a solid sitka spruce top that provides the player with a versatile sonic-footprint, yielding crisp articulation and a broad dynamic range. In addition, its solid top also delivers focused, clear sound of deep lows, warm mid-range, and bright singing highs.
Sitka's versatile nature enables it to accommodate many different genres and playing styles, from lighter fingerpicking styles, to heavier more aggressive strumming patterns. Its solid sitka spruce top is attached to solid Indian rosewood back and sides, adding resonance and warmth to the guitar's sonic-character.
The SIGMA's solid Indian rosewood body also delivers a meaty mid-range, producing punchy, woody tones with plenty of depth and complexity that will please most playing styles. A lightly polished, ultra-thin varnish with aging toner additionally contributes to a fast sound development and at the same time gives the instrument a timeless vintage look.
Mahogany Neck & Ebony Fingerboard
Constructed from mahogany, the Sigma's neck offers plenty of warmth and resonance, as well as being able to respond greatly to numerous genres and playing styles with equal ease.
Additionally, its mahogany neck provides strength and durability and due to its density, it is less susceptible to warping. Furthermore, the neck also has a dovetail joint, which is incredibly durable and ensures a long life-span.
The neck is also topped with an ebony fingerboard which adds a bright attack and a strong fundamental with great sustain to the overall sound. Additionally, for added aesthetic appeal, the fingerboard is graced with small-diamond inlays which subtly highlights the value of the SDR-28.
Open Grover nickel tuners also allow easy tuning of the 6 steel strings and round off the instrument's appearance perfectly.
Real Bone Nut
The Sigma SDR-28 acoustic guitar features a bone nut, which offers excellent resonance and sustain, along with an authentic appearance.
A bone nut also delivers a very balanced tone, and will last a long time. In addition, this type of nut naturally self lubricates and helps you stay in tune for longer. In order to guarantee clean intonation over the entire scale length of 645 mm, the 44.5 mm wide nut and the bridge inlay, which is set into the traditionally held ebony bridge, are made of bone material.
